In 1947, Santa Eulalia expanded its creative vision into the world of perfumery with the launch of its first eau de cologne. Its fresh, delicate scent captured the essence of the Mediterranean spirit, becoming a favourite among clients and marking the beginning of a deep and lasting connection with the olfactory universe.
Today, Santa Eulalia remains a meeting point between fashion and the art of fragrance, reaffirming its commitment to creativity, quality, and excellence. A house that not only dresses but also perfumes the soul of Barcelona.
In the 1940s, Santa Eulalia expanded to Passeig de Gràcia, the heart of Barcelona’s modernist movement. In 1947, its universe grew with the creation of its first fragrance: a luminous, fresh eau de cologne that captured the Mediterranean essence of the city.
Since 1988, under the direction of Luis Sans, fourth-generation family member, and Sandra Domínguez, Santa Eulalia has masterfully woven heritage and modernity with a unique sensibility. In 2011, the boutique was reborn through a restoration that revived its soul with a contemporary gaze, led by renowned architect William Sofield.

The names of our fragrances are inspired by Latin, evoking the harmony between landscapes, culture, and the Mediterranean essence that defines the soul of Santa Eulalia Perfumes. This choice is a tribute to Barcelona’s Roman roots, where Latin was once a living language and the foundation of our cultural heritage.
For the bottle and its delicate packaging, we entrusted the talent of renowned Barcelona designer Mario Eskenazi. His design draws directly from Santa Eulalia’s identity, resulting in a timeless and understated creation that plays with the contrast of black and white hallmarks of our branding. The pattern, both subtle and distinctive, is inspired by the aspa that defines our logo, with triangles representing its halves. The result is a unique piece where textures and volumes engage in a dialogue of precision and elegance.
Mario Eskenazi, recipient of the National Design Award and member of the prestigious Alliance Graphique Internationale, is one of the most influential figures in the field of visual identity in Spain. His conceptual and essential style is based on a clear premise: reduce to the essence. A philosophy that perfectly embodies the spirit of Santa Eulalia.

At Santa Eulalia, we welcome our clients and friends into a true olfactory temple, a space where the art of perfume becomes an intimate, sensory, and deeply personal experience. This fragrance sanctuary is in the heart of our iconic Passeig de Gràcia boutique and is designed to pay tribute to the invisible beauty of perfume.
Inspired by the unique blocks of Barcelona’s Eixample district, the space adopts an elegant octagonal shape. Its anthracite grey walls are adorned with romantic-inspired murals and aged silver leaf details infused with green tea. Hand-painted hibiscus flowers add an artistic and delicate touch, evoking the ephemeral nature of scent.
At the centre of this serene setting, a circular table covered in gold leaf creates a striking contrast with the dark surroundings. This golden element not only illuminates the space but also enhances the presentation of our fragrances, creating a harmonious fusion of light, art, and perfume.
Every detail has been carefully designed by acclaimed New York architect and interior designer William Sofield, who envisioned this olfactory temple as a place of contemplation, discovery, and celebration of Santa Eulalia’s perfume universe.

Luis Sans, Chairman of Santa Eulalia Perfumes and of the iconic maison Santa Eulalia, the oldest and most prestigious luxury store in Barcelona, grew up surrounded by fashion, design, and family tradition. From an early age, he developed a passion for retail and high fashion. At just 22, following the unexpected passing of his father, Luis took the helm of Santa Eulalia, becoming the fourth generation of the Sans family to lead this distinguished institution.
For Luis and his wife, Sandra Domínguez, who leads the women’s fashion collection with expert and feminine insight, each perfume goes beyond fragrance. Each scent represents a sensory and emotional connection to the store’s legacy and to the vibrant city of Barcelona. Together, they shape a unique identity that honours the region’s rich culture, spirit, and beauty.

The design of our bottles, rectangular, understated, and refined, pays homage to the legend of Santa Eulalia. At the heart of this design lies the aspa, the symbol of our logo, subtly integrated into the bottle itself, with the triangle representing half of it. Pure, simple lines are enriched by volume and texture, creating an aesthetic that naturally balances modernity and tradition.
